Welcome to Our Church
Loving God & Loving Others
Springing out of a home Bible Study during the fall of 2004, Crossroads Church of Shamong, New Jersey held their first worship service on January 3rd, 2005. Two things were decided on that first Sunday. One: they needed more chairs and Two: this was the start of something good for the people who gathered to worship.
Crossroads is a place to come to connect with God and your neighbors, enjoy a cup of coffee and the smiles and laughter of children having a good time. There is room for you and a place for you to use your gifts to help others inside our community and globally.
Crossroads is committed to helping others. In the last few years we have built a home for Katrina victims, sent a group to Acuna Mexico to minister at a local orphanage, painted the home of a local family which needed a helping hand and supported several missionaries in their work.
Crossroads is not a member of any denomination. However, we are a part of the body of Christ and free to minister alongside of any church or organization to advance the cause of Christ. The church is led by seven elders who see to the day to day operation and ministries. All decisions about the future of Crossroads and the church family are made by the church family and the Elders at the local level.
Crossroads Church is led by an Elder Board of currently seven persons which includes a preaching elder and executive pastor, below. This group manages the day-to-day activities of the church along with overseeing the outreach, programs, ministries and missions. Each elder has an area of responsibility and oversight of specific areas in the church.
- Jim Schroeder, Preaching Elder
- Dave Casselman, Executive Pastor
- Bill Gall
- Brian Gardner
- Brian Stahre
- Dave Taylor
- Doug Umbehauer
