Faith and Finance Seminar
How do we steward everything God has entrusted to us?
We are called to be good stewards, so understanding biblical principles of stewardship and generosity is essential. Our faith should inform our stewardship decisions, and when faith and finance meet in the way God intended, the results are powerful!
We will offer two seminars back to back. For those "Starting to Get Established" and those "Building a Legacy Impact." Experienced teacher David Graf from Orchard Alliance will be leading our time.
Each seminar is about 75 minutes long, with about half of the time spent on scriptural stewardship principles. Our main objective is to challenge people in their relationship with money, encouraging them to have Christ as their treasure. With the remaining time, we talk about their particular stage of life and share a few examples of gift and estate planning tools that might be helpful. We do not use these seminars to teach people how to implement the various tools; instead, we encourage them to have an initial Zoom or phone call with one of our Gift and Estate Design team members. Almost all those participating in that initial 15-minute conversation follow through with our complete process.
Two Seminars will be combined from these 3 topics:
1. Getting Established – geared toward young families with children living at home, this will focus primarily on them creating their wills and family trusts. We have a free online service that most of them can use to accomplish this without much help from us beyond the initial call.
2. Building Impact – designed for “empty nesters” up until retirement, this will focus on ways in which they can give today out of non-cash assets, making appropriate adjustments in their estate design now that their kids are out of the house and self-sufficient, and challenging them to consider how much is enough in terms of the continued accumulation of wealth. Free-will creation is also offered to this group.
3. Leaving a Legacy – directed toward those who are retired, this will focus on having a Kingdom impact and caring well for their families. Free-will creation is also offered.
