Like Kevin McAllister's parents in the movie "Home Alone," we can get so caught up in our busy lives that we easily lose sight of Jesus (even while doing good things!). This is what happened with Mary and Joseph with 12 year old Jesus when they accidentally left him in Jerusalem for 3 days. But Jesus knew what He was to be about: His Father's business... so he spent time teaching the spiritual leaders about God in the temple. Jesus knew He was fully God and fully man and was obedient to both his Father and his father.
Like a marathon runner who fixes his/her eyes on the prize, may we keep our eyes on Jesus so we don't grow weary or lose heart! (Hebrews 12:1-3)
- Seek Him in the morning.
- Seek Him throughout the day.
- Seek Him as you go to sleep at night.
